TSA Receives 2 National Awards


Award LogoThe Senior Alliance – Area Agency on Aging 1-C was a winner in the 17th annual national Mature Media Awards Program. The program, presented by the Mature Market Resource Center, a national clearinghouse for the senior market, recognizes the nation’s finest advertising, marketing and educational materials designed and produced for older adults.

The "Think SAFE: Stop Adult Financial Exploitation" received a Bronze Award in the Community Programs: Video Educational/Training Programs division. The Seniority News, The Senior Alliance newsletter, received a Merit Award in the Community Programs: Newsletter division.

Nearly 1,000 entries were judged by a distinguished panel of mature market experts from across the United States for overall excellence of design, content, creativity and relevance to the senior market. National sponsors include the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging and the American Custom Publishing Corporation.

Comedy for a Cause

Provide support for senior services on Thursday, August 21, 2008, at Joey’s Comedy Club, located at 36071 Plymouth Road, Livonia, MI 48150. is an online confidential free service which helps adults age 55 and older to connect to private or government programs that help them pay for prescription drugs, health care, utilities, and other needs.
